To amend the Consumer Financial Protection Act of 2010 to set the rate of pay for employees of the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection in accordance with the General Schedule.
Summary
This bill amends the Consumer Financial Protection Act of 2010 to require that all employees of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) have their pay set according to the General Schedule, the standard federal pay scale used by most federal agencies. Currently, the CFPB Director has flexibility in setting employee compensation outside of the General Schedule. The bill would bring CFPB employee pay into alignment with the standard federal pay structure. The amendment takes effect 90 days after the bill's enactment.
