No United States Recognition of Russian Sovereignty Over Crimea or Any Other Forcibly Seized Ukrainian Territory
To prohibit United States Government recognition of the Russian Federation's claim of sovereignty over Crimea, and for other purposes.
Summary
This bill establishes a policy that the United States will not recognize the Russian Federation's claimed sovereignty over Crimea or any other forcibly seized Ukrainian territory, including related airspace and territorial waters. It prohibits federal departments and agencies from taking any action, providing nonhumanitarian assistance, or spending funds in a way that implies recognition of these Russian claims. The prohibition does not apply if the Ukrainian Government formally recognizes the territorial claims.
