To increase the rates of pay under the statutory pay systems and for prevailing rate employees by 4.3 percent, and for other purposes.
Summary
This bill increases federal employee pay for 2026 by establishing a 3.3 percent adjustment to basic pay rates for federal employees under statutory pay systems and prevailing rate (wage-grade) employees. It also increases locality pay adjustments by 1 percent for calendar year 2026. The combined effect of these adjustments totals approximately 4.3 percent when the base and locality components are combined. The bill overrides the normal wage survey procedures for prevailing rate employees in favor of the across-the-board increase.
