End Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Providers Act
To end the use of taxpayer funds for entities that perform, provide referrals for, or provide funding for, abortions, and for other purposes.
Summary
This bill prohibits the use of federal funds for any entity, including its affiliates and subsidiaries, that performs abortions, provides referrals for abortions, or provides funding to other entities that perform abortions. The prohibition includes exceptions for abortions resulting from rape or incest and abortions necessary to prevent the death of the pregnant woman, as certified by a physician. The bill takes effect 60 days after enactment and applies to future federal law unless that law explicitly excludes its application by reference. The bill does not affect existing abortion restrictions contained in appropriations acts.
