A BILL
To reauthorize the program to support residential treatment programs for pregnant and postpartum women, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the “Pregnant and Postpartum Women Treatment Reauthorization Act”.
SEC. 2. REAUTHORIZATION OF PROGRAM.
Section 508 of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 290bb-1) is amended—
(1) in subsection (d)(11)(C), by striking “providing health services” and inserting “providing health care services”;
(2) in subsection (g)—
(A) by inserting “a plan describing” after “will provide”; and
(B) by adding at the end the following: “Such plan may include a description of how such applicant will target outreach to women disproportionately impacted by maternal substance use disorder.”; and
(3) in subsection (s), by striking “$29,931,000 for each of fiscal years 2019 through 2023” and inserting “$38,931,000 for each of fiscal years 2025 through 2029”. <all>
