HRES 982 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.

Summary
This resolution establishes the procedures for the House to consider and vote on H.R. 6039. The resolution allows for immediate consideration of the bill, waives various procedural objections, and automatically adopts an amendment from the ranking minority member if one is submitted. The resolution limits debate to one hour (equally divided between majority and minority) and allows one motion to recommit. Certain House rules are waived to expedite the consideration process, and the House is required to transmit the bill to the Senate within three days of passage.
