HRES 883 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.

Summary
This is a procedural resolution that establishes the rules for House consideration of H.R. 2003, a bill that would amend the Higher Education Act of 1965 to lower the interest rate on Federal student loans to 2 percent. The resolution waives procedural points of order and considers the bill as read, streamlining the consideration process. The resolution provides for one hour of debate on the bill, divided equally between the majority and minority, and allows one motion to recommit. The resolution does not itself change student loan interest rates but rather governs how the House will debate and vote on H.R. 2003.
