HRES 187 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.

H. RES. 187 Of inquiry requesting the President to transmit certain information to the House of Representatives referring to the termination, removal, placement on administrative leave, moved to another department of Federal employees and Inspectors General of agencies.
Summary
This resolution requests that the President transmit certain documents and communications to the House within 14 days, specifically regarding federal employee terminations, removals, and reassignments since January 20, 2025. It requests information about federal employee actions related to Elon Musk, members of the DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) agency team, and the Office of Personnel Management's determination to subject Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion office positions to reduction in force actions. The resolution also requests documents and communications regarding the removal or termination of federal Inspectors General, including communications between executive offices and members of the Trump Administration and transition team about such removals and whether Congress was notified as legally required. The resolution does not create law or mandate action; it is a request for the President to provide information to Congress. The resolution was reported adversely by the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, meaning the committee did not recommend its approval.
