Summary

This resolution expresses the House's support for designating March 3, 2025, as "National Triple-Negative Breast Cancer Day." Triple-negative breast cancer is a distinct type of breast cancer recognized since 2006 that disproportionately affects young women, Black and Hispanic women, and those with BRCA gene mutations. Although it accounts for 10 to 15 percent of all breast cancer diagnoses, it represents approximately 25 percent of all breast cancer deaths in the United States and can be more aggressive and likely to recur or spread. The resolution aims to create awareness of the impact of triple-negative breast cancer on families and the need for efforts to address this cancer type.
