HRES 12 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.
Stay on Schedule (S.O.S.) Resolution
Amending the Rules of the House of Representatives to prohibit the consideration of a concurrent resolution to provide for a recess of the House after July 31 of any year unless the House has approved each regular appropriation bill for the next fiscal year.
Summary
The Stay on Schedule (S.O.S.) Resolution amends the Rules of the House of Representatives to add a procedural requirement regarding the August recess. Under the new rule, the House cannot take a recess during August unless it has passed all regular appropriation bills for the upcoming fiscal year by July 31. The rule defines regular appropriation bills as annual appropriation bills under the jurisdiction of a single Appropriations subcommittee. This measure establishes a procedural requirement to ensure that appropriation bills are completed before the House takes its August recess.
