Mr. Van Orden introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Veterans’ Affairs

A BILL

To amend title 38, United States Code, to increase the amount of educational assistance paid by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to an eligible individual during the first year of a full-time program of apprenticeship or other on-job training.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the “Warriors to Workforce Act”.

SEC. 2. INCREASE OF AMOUNT OF EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE PAID BY THE SECRETARY OF VETERANS AFFAIRS FOR FIRST YEAR OF A FULL- TIME PROGRAM OF APPRENTICESHIP OR OTHER ON-JOB TRAINING.

Section 3313(g)(3)(B) of title 38, United States Code, is amended—

(1) in the matter preceding clause (i), by inserting “using educational assistance under this chapter”; and

(2) in clause (i)(II), by striking “80 percent” and inserting “90 percent”. <all>
