HR 9073 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.

Summary
This bill amends a 2021 defense law that prohibits the Department of Defense from acquiring certain metal products from specific nations. The amendment delays when the prohibition takes effect, making it applicable only to contracts entered into starting January 1, 2032, or 180 days after the Secretary of Defense certifies that sufficient alternative suppliers outside the restricted nations are commercially available, whichever comes first. The bill requires the Secretary of Defense to revise procurement regulations within 120 days to implement this amended provision.
