Mr. Hurd of Colorado introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Natural Resources
A BILL
To amend the Indian Tribal Regulatory Reform and Business Development Act of 2000 to transfer certain administrative responsibilities to the Secretary of the Interior.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the “Tribal Regulatory Reform Implementation Act of 2026”.
SEC. 2. TRANSFER OF ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES.
Section 4(a) of the Indian Tribal Regulatory Reform and Business Development Act of 2000 (Public Law 106-447; 25 U.S.C. 4301 note) is amended by adding at the end the following:
“(3) Transfer of administrative duties.—Effective on the date of the enactment of Tribal Regulatory Reform Implementation Act of 2026, all administrative responsibilities and jurisdiction assigned to the Secretary under this Act with respect to the Authority shall transfer to the Secretary of the Interior.”. <all>
