Geese House Site Conveyance Act

To provide for certain conveyances under the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act, and for other purposes.

Introduced May 7, 2026

Latest action (May 7, 2026) Referred to the House Committee on Natural Resources.

Summary

This bill directs the Secretary of the Interior to convey approximately 21,578 acres of federal land in the Denali National Park and Preserve to Doyon, Limited within one year of enactment. The land, which was selected by Doyon, Limited in 1978, must be conveyed subject to public easements required by the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act. The law restricts use of the conveyed land by prohibiting the company from transferring it to anyone other than the U.S. government, authorizing mining or mineral activities, or permitting development that would harm the cultural significance of the Geese House site. The bill requires the Secretary to adjust the boundary of Denali National Park and Preserve to exclude the conveyed land and to match a proposed boundary shown on an accompanying map.
