Strengthening and Improving Mobilization Act of 2026

To amend the Defense Production Act of 1950 to require the Defense Production Act Committee to conduct discussion-based simulations, and for other purposes.

Introduced Mar 25, 2026

Latest action (Mar 25, 2026) Referred to the House Committee on Financial Services.

Summary

This bill amends the Defense Production Act of 1950 to require the Defense Production Act Committee to conduct tabletop exercises at least once every five years. These discussion-based simulations would be designed to evaluate what resources are needed and how best to use the authorities granted under the Defense Production Act. The bill also corrects a technical error in the original Defense Production Act's formal title.
