Summary
This bill amends federal criminal law to create new offenses targeting individuals who use vehicles to forcibly assault, resist, intimidate, or interfere with Federal law enforcement officers from the Department of Homeland Security or Department of Justice. The bill also creates a separate offense for forcibly assaulting, resisting, opposing, impeding, intimidating, or interfering with such officers while they are operating in a Federal law enforcement vehicle. Both offenses apply only when the officer is engaged in or performing official duties. Violations of these new offenses carry penalties of up to 20 years imprisonment and/or fines.
