To amend the Food Security Act of 1985 to repeal certain provisions relating to the acceptance and use of contributions for public-private partnerships, and for other purposes.
Summary
This bill amends the Food Security Act of 1985 to simplify provisions related to non-Federal contributions for conservation programs administered by the Department of Agriculture. It repeals language specifically referring to public-private partnerships and allows the Secretary to establish separate sub-accounts for each conservation program to accept and use non-Federal funds. The bill removes detailed requirements that were previously in paragraphs (3) through (10) of the existing law. The changes streamline the process for conservation programs to accept contributions from non-Federal sources in support of their purposes.
