Summary

This bill would authorize the Department of Agriculture to continue operating the Resilient Food Systems Infrastructure program, which was originally established under the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. The bill expands the program by allowing recipients to use funding for activities related to meat and poultry products, in addition to activities the program currently supports. The program would continue to operate in the same manner as it currently does, except for this expanded eligibility for meat and poultry activities. The bill aims to strengthen food supply chain resilience and improve access to affordable food through infrastructure investments.
