HR 7374 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.
Housing Without Fear Act of 2026
To nullify a memorandum of understanding signed by the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development and the Secretary of Homeland Security.
Summary
The bill would prohibit the Secretaries of Housing and Urban Development and Homeland Security from carrying out a memorandum of understanding that was signed on March 24, 2025. The bill effectively nullifies the agreement between these two departments. The specific terms or purpose of the memorandum are not detailed in the bill text. This would prevent implementation of whatever cooperative arrangement the two agencies had agreed to.
