Summary

This bill conditions federal voting assistance funding to Minnesota on the state submitting certain voting records to the U.S. Attorney General. Specifically, the Minnesota Secretary of State must submit records documenting same-day voter registrations and the votes cast by those voters, as well as other voter registration records kept by the state. The bill also authorizes the Attorney General to request any additional records deemed relevant to Minnesota's compliance with the Help America Vote Act of 2002. No federal voting funds may be provided to Minnesota under that law until these records are submitted.
