Affordable Housing Guarantee Act
To amend title 38, United States Code, to modify the maximum guaranty amount of certain home loans guaranteed by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Summary
This Act amends the Veterans Affairs home loan program to modify the maximum guaranty amount the Department of Veterans Affairs will guarantee for home loans. For veterans with a service-connected disability whose VA home loan entitlement is unused or has been fully restored, the guaranty amount is increased to 50 percent of the loan. For all other veterans, the guaranty amount remains at 25 percent of the loan. The change allows veterans with service-connected disabilities greater guaranty coverage when obtaining VA-guaranteed home loans.
