HR 703 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.
To amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to make permanent the deduction for qualified business income.
Summary
This bill would make permanent the qualified business income deduction under federal tax law, which allows business owners and self-employed individuals to deduct up to 20 percent of their qualified business income from their taxable income. Currently, this deduction is set to expire after December 31, 2025. The bill would eliminate the sunset provision that ends the deduction and make it permanent for all future taxable years beginning after December 31, 2025.
