Summary

The bill amends the Aamodt Litigation Settlement Act, a 2010 law that established a settlement regarding water rights and the construction of a Regional Water System. The amendment modifies how completion dates for the Regional Water System can be extended by allowing such extensions if the Pueblos, the United States, the State, the City, and the County all agree that an extension is reasonably necessary. This provides more flexibility to the parties in the settlement agreement regarding the timeline for completing the water system project.
