HR 6761 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.
People’s White House Historic Preservation Act
To amend title 54, United States Code, apply certain National Historic Preservation Act requirements to the White House, and for other purposes.
Summary
This bill amends the National Historic Preservation Act to apply its requirements to the White House and its grounds by removing a previous exemption. The specific amendment modifies section 307104 of title 54, United States Code, to no longer exclude the White House from certain historic preservation requirements. This would subject the White House to the same National Historic Preservation Act requirements that apply to other historic properties.
