Staff Salary Schedule Improvement Act
To permit the Chief Administrative Officer to pay salaries in or under the House of Representatives twice per month in certain cases, and for other purposes.
Summary
This bill allows the Chief Administrative Officer of the House of Representatives to change the salary payment schedule for House staff when the House upgrades its payroll system. Currently, House staff salaries are paid on a set schedule; this bill would permit paying salaries twice per month or on an alternative schedule if approved by the House Committee on House Administration. The change would only take effect once the House's payroll system is upgraded and the Committee directs the adoption of a new payment schedule.
