To amend the Small Business Act to adjust sole-source thresholds for service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns, and for other purposes.
Summary
This bill amends the Small Business Act to increase the contract thresholds for sole-source federal procurement awards to service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses. The primary threshold increases from $7 million to $10 million, and a secondary threshold increases from $3 million to $8 million. These thresholds determine the contract sizes above which federal agencies must use competitive bidding when awarding contracts to service-disabled veteran-owned businesses. The Federal Acquisition Regulatory Council and the Department of Defense must update federal acquisition regulations to implement these changes within 180 days of enactment. The new thresholds apply to federal solicitations issued 180 days or more after the bill's enactment.
