Agricultural Cooperative Energy Savings Act of 2025
To expand eligibility for certain United States Department of Agriculture programs to include agricultural cooperatives with fewer than 2,500 employees, and for other purposes.
Summary
The Agricultural Cooperative Energy Savings Act of 2025 expands eligibility for certain United States Department of Agriculture programs to include agricultural cooperatives with fewer than 2,500 employees. The bill amends the Farm Security and Rural Investment Act of 2002 to add smaller agricultural cooperatives to the list of eligible recipients for these programs. By lowering the employee threshold, the bill makes it possible for smaller agricultural cooperatives to access USDA funding or assistance that was previously limited to larger cooperatives.
