Summary

This bill prohibits the Secretary of Health and Human Services from implementing the WISeR Model (Wasteful and Inappropriate Services Reduction) under the Medicare program. The WISeR Model is a prior authorization payment and service delivery model that was proposed in a July 2025 Federal Register notice. The prohibition also applies to any substantially similar models. The bill effectively blocks Medicare from adopting the prior authorization requirements that were part of the WISeR Model proposal.
