Summary

The bill authorizes the Federal Government to reimburse states for funds they use to keep the WIC (Women, Infants, and Children nutrition) program running during a government shutdown. When federal appropriations lapse, states may spend their own money to maintain WIC operations. After the shutdown ends, those states become eligible to be reimbursed by the Federal Government for these expenditures.
