HR 5630 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.

Summary
This bill would amend the Public Health Service Act to require states to include additional information in their substance use prevention, treatment, and recovery services block grant plans. States would be required to describe the types of medications available for medication-assisted treatment, their medication-assisted treatment programs and protocols for preventing misuse, data on instances of misuse or mixing of medication-assisted treatment drugs with other substances, and data on drug screening protocols used in their systems of care. These new requirements would apply to state plans submitted for federal substance use block grants.
