Summary

This bill amends the 21st Century Cures Act to clarify that State and Tribal grants for responding to opioid use disorders can be used to acquire, distribute, and maintain public access opioid overdose reversal kits. The bill defines a public access opioid overdose reversal kit as a kit containing opioid overdose reversal medication and instructions for administering it. This clarification allows grant funds already authorized for opioid response programs to support broader community access to overdose reversal medications.
