Summary

This bill expands an existing annual report on Chinese military and security developments required by the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2000. It adds new topics the report must address, including nuclear and drone development cooperation, Chinese farmland acquisitions abroad, China's cyber capabilities in potential conflict with the U.S., biotechnology advancement, and the Chinese military's strategic plans regarding Taiwan including cyber warfare, invasion, and blockade scenarios. The bill extends the reporting requirement from its current deadline of January 31, 2027 to January 31, 2030, ensuring the annual reports continue for an additional three years.
