Summary

This bill amends the Federal Cyber Scholarship for Service Program, which provides scholarships to students pursuing cybersecurity careers in exchange for federal government service. The bill extends the program's service requirement from 3 years to 5 years for scholarship recipients. It also ensures that participants receive full forgiveness of federally subsidized loans, removing limitations that normally apply to federal student loan programs. These changes are intended to strengthen recruitment and retention of cybersecurity professionals in federal government positions.
