Small Business Development Centers Relief Act of 2010

To waive temporarily the matching amount requirement with respect to section 21 of the Small Business Act, and for other purposes.

Introduced Mar 24, 2010

Latest action (Mar 24, 2010) Referred to the Subcommittee on Rural Development, Entrepreneurship and Trade.

Summary

This bill temporarily waives the matching fund requirement for Small Business Development Centers grants under the Small Business Act for one year from enactment. Normally, entities receiving grants for small business development centers must provide matching funds as a condition of the grant, with the grant amount limited based on the matching funds provided. During the one-year waiver period, the Small Business Administration may award grants without requiring matching funds and the grant amount is not limited by matching fund levels.
