HR 4796 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.
Restoring Essential Healthcare Act
To amend Public Law 119-21 to repeal the prohibition on making payments under the Medicaid program to certain entities.
Summary
This bill repeals Section 71113 of Public Law 119-21, which prohibited Medicaid payments to certain entities. The bill also retroactively restores Medicaid payment eligibility for medical services and items that were provided by these prohibited entities between the date Public Law 119-21 was enacted and the date this bill is enacted, allowing payment to be made as if the prohibition had never been enacted.
