HR 4722 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.
Urban Indian Health Parity Act
To amend title XIX of the Social Security Act to require a Federal medical assistance percentage of 100 percent for urban Indian organizations, and for other purposes.
Summary
This bill amends Medicaid to provide urban Indian organizations with a 100 percent Federal Medical Assistance Percentage, matching the federal funding rate currently provided to Indian tribes and tribal organizations. Urban Indian organizations that receive grants or contracts with the Indian Health Service under the Indian Health Care Improvement Act would be eligible for this 100 percent federal funding rate for Medicaid services. Under this change, the federal government would cover the full cost of Medicaid services delivered through urban Indian health organizations, rather than sharing costs with states as is typical for most Medicaid providers.
