HR 4412 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.
Joint Chiefs Reauthorization Act of 2025
To reauthorize the Joint Chiefs Landscape Restoration Partnership program, and for other purposes.
Summary
The bill reauthorizes the Joint Chiefs Landscape Restoration Partnership program, which was established in the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, and expands its scope and duration. The bill adds new program purposes including recovery from wildfires and enhancement of soil and water resources, and requires greater coordination between the Natural Resources Conservation Service and Forest Service in implementing the program using best available science. The bill updates program criteria to include post-wildfire impacts and priorities identified in State forest action plans and similar planning documents.
