To establish a military service medal to be issued to members of the Armed Forces who served in support of operations related to the Iran- Israel War, including Operation Midnight Hammer.
Summary
This bill establishes a new military service medal called the Iranian Campaign Medal to recognize members of the Armed Forces who served in support of operations related to the Iran-Israel War, including Operation Midnight Hammer on June 22, 2025. Service members are eligible for the medal if they served on active duty in support of designated Iran-Israel War operations or were deployed in areas designated by military leadership as eligible for the award. The medal design will be approved by the Secretary of Defense and will include ribbons, lapel pins, and other standard military medal components. Each service member may receive only one medal, though if the service member is deceased, the medal can be issued to their next-of-kin. The military departments will establish regulations to implement the medal program.
