To require the Secretary of Agriculture to annually publish certain data with respect to grape production, and for other purposes.
Summary
This bill requires the Secretary of Agriculture to conduct a comprehensive survey on grape production in each state within one year of enactment, collecting data on total acreage, production, utilization, and acreage by type, variety, county, and year planted. The results of the survey must be made publicly available on the National Agricultural Statistics Service website. Beginning two years after enactment and annually thereafter for three additional years, the bill requires the Secretary to publish detailed data from the five states with the highest grape production in the preceding year. The bill authorizes $2.5 million for fiscal year 2026 to conduct the survey and $1.5 million for each fiscal year from 2027 through 2030 to publish the data.
