HR 4013 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.

Summary
This bill amends federal law governing the display of the United States flag to permit the flag to be flown at half-staff upon the death of the Mayor of the District of Columbia. Currently, flag protocol allows half-staff display for the death of the President, Vice President, and Governors of states, territories, and possessions. The amendment would add the DC Mayor to this list of officials whose deaths warrant half-staff flag display.
