Summary

This bill amends the Internal Revenue Code to direct federal fuel excise tax revenue to the Virgin Islands territorial government. The bill provides that all federal taxes collected on fuel produced in the Virgin Islands and imported into the United States shall be covered into the Virgin Islands treasury instead of the federal treasury. The provision applies to fuel entered into the United States after December 31, 2024. This redirects tax revenue from U.S.-bound fuel produced in the territory back to the Virgin Islands government.
