HR 3528 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.
To prohibit the Secretary of State from holding or otherwise carrying out the duties of any other Federal position.
Summary
This bill prohibits the Secretary of State from holding or carrying out the duties of any other federal position. The bill provides that no federal funds may be obligated or expended for the Secretary's salary or expenses if the Secretary simultaneously holds or carries out duties of other federal positions. The bill effectively requires the Secretary of State to serve in that position exclusively without dual roles.
