Summary

This bill amends the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act to provide funding for groundwater recharge, aquifer storage, and water source substitution projects. The bill makes $3 million per year available from 2026 through 2031 from unobligated balances under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act for the Secretary to distribute. These funds support technical and financial assistance for water projects focused on recharging groundwater, storing water in aquifers, and substituting alternative water sources.
