A BILL
To amend title 49, United States Code, to authorize appropriations for the Federal-State partnership for intercity passenger rail grant program, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the “Federal-State Partnership for Intercity Passenger Rail Reauthorization Act”.
SEC. 2. AUTHORIZATION OF APPROPRIATIONS FOR FEDERAL-STATE PARTNERSHIP FOR INTERCITY PASSENGER RAIL GRANTS.
Section 24911(h) of title 49, United States Code, is amended to read as follows:
“(h) Authorization of Appropriations.—
“(1) In general.—There is authorized to be appropriated to the Secretary for use carrying out this section $7,500,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2027 through 2031, to remain available until expended.
“(2) Project management oversight expenses.—The Secretary may use up to 2 percent of amounts appropriated under paragraph
(1) in a fiscal year to carry out project management oversight with respect to any grant program under this title authorized to be carried out in such fiscal year.”. <all>
