HR 298 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.

To eliminate certain limitations and exclusions regarding defense articles and requirements regarding security assistance and sales with respect to the Republic of Cyprus.
Summary
This Act eliminates certain restrictions on defense articles and removes requirements regarding security assistance and sales to the Republic of Cyprus. Specifically, it amends the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2020 by removing provisions that limited defense article transfers to Cyprus. It also amends the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 by removing subsections that imposed requirements on security assistance and certain sales to Cyprus. The effect is to expand the ability of the United States to provide defense articles and security assistance to Cyprus without the previously mandated restrictions.
