HR 2812 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.
To make grants to the Girl Scouts of the United States of America, the Boy Scouts of America, the National 4H Council, and the National FFA Organization to establish pilot projects to expand the programs carried out by the organizations in rural areas and small towns, and for other purposes.
Summary
This bill appropriates $5 million annually from fiscal years 2026 through 2030 for grants to four youth organizations: Girl Scouts of the United States of America, Boy Scouts of America, National 4H Council, and National FFA Organization. The grants fund pilot projects designed to expand these organizations' programs in rural areas and small towns. The funding is authorized through an amendment to the Agricultural Research, Extension, and Education Reform Act of 1998.
