HR 2757 Introduced Re-checks Congress.gov for new actions and updates the bill's status, and fills in any sponsors, committees, or related bills that are missing. It does not re-pull sponsors/cosponsors/committees/related — those rarely change — and it skips all work if nothing has changed upstream, so it's cheap to click.
Medicare Audiology Access Improvement Act of 2025
To amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act to improve coverage of audiology services under the Medicare program, and for other purposes.
Summary
The bill expands Medicare coverage to include audiology services furnished by qualified audiologists beginning January 1, 2027. Starting that date, audiologists may provide diagnostic and treatment services that they are legally authorized to perform under state law without requiring physician referral or supervision, and Medicare will pay 80 percent of the lesser of the actual charge or the fee schedule amount. The bill allows qualified audiologists to practice in Rural Health Centers and Federally Qualified Health Centers and permits Medicare to pay the audiologist directly on an assignment basis.
