Summary

This bill would require the Secretary of State to designate 30 specified organizations as Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTOs) within 90 days of enactment, including various Iraqi militias, the Houthis (Ansarallah), and any entities affiliated with or controlled by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps. The bill would require the President to determine within 60 days whether to impose economic sanctions on a subset of 22 of these designated organizations and their affiliates under Executive Order 13224. The bill requires the Secretary of State to submit biannual reports to Congress on additional entities that meet FTO designation criteria, and the President to report on the sanctions determinations with explanations for any organizations that are not sanctioned.
