Summary
The bill requires colleges and universities to immediately report to the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) when they become aware that a student holding an F-1 or J-1 nonimmigrant visa has endorsed or supported a foreign terrorist organization. If the Secretary of State determines that such participation is established, the student's visa must be revoked. Following visa revocation, the Secretary of Homeland Security must initiate removal proceedings to deport the student under immigration law. The bill defines "foreign terrorist organization" as organizations officially designated as such by the federal government and applies to approved institutions of higher education that participate in the federal student visa monitoring system.
