Summary

This bill amends the Social Security Act to expand the practitioners eligible to furnish telehealth services under the Medicare program. The bill modifies Section 1834(m)(4)(E) of the Social Security Act by simplifying the eligibility language for telehealth service providers. The specific amendment removes restrictive conditional language regarding which practitioners qualify to provide Medicare telehealth services and replaces it with broader language. The change appears to remove barriers or restrictions on the types of practitioners who can provide telehealth under Medicare. The bill aims to increase access to telehealth services by allowing a broader range of qualified healthcare providers to participate in the Medicare telehealth program.
